01 — LOGGING

Consistent data, every day, in under a minute.

Kairos™ doesn’t ask you to journal. It asks specific, structured questions designed to produce scoreable data. Each domain has a calibrated set of questions — the same questions every day — so your responses are directly comparable over time. This isn’t a symptom diary. It’s a clinical instrument.

Symptom severity (0-10) for each active domain, sleep metrics (quality, duration, wake events), cycle data (women), contextual factors (stress, exercise, alcohol intake, medication changes), and free-text notes for anything unusual.

Each response maps to a numerical value on a validated scale. Domain scores are computed as weighted composites of their constituent questions. Weights are calibrated against clinical symptom severity indices.

Based on your profile (gender, age, active domains) and recent responses, the daily log adapts. If you’ve had 3 days of high vasomotor scores, you may see a follow-up question about episode timing. Men don’t see cycle or vasomotor questions.

02 — SCORING

From raw responses to clinical intelligence.

Every log submission triggers the scoring engine. Raw responses are converted into domain scores (0-10), composite burden scores, and rolling statistical measures. The engine doesn’t just average your answers — it weights them by clinical significance, normalizes for your personal baseline, and flags deviations that exceed statistical noise.

Each domain score is a weighted composite. For example, the vasomotor score weighs episode frequency (40%), severity (35%), duration (15%), and functional impact (10%). Weights are derived from clinical severity indices used in menopause research.

After your first 14 days of tracking, Kairos™ establishes your personal baseline for each domain. All subsequent trend analysis is relative to YOUR baseline, not a population average.

Trend detection uses rolling means with confidence intervals. A ‘decline’ isn’t flagged unless the change exceeds the 95th percentile of your personal variability. This prevents false alarms from normal day-to-day fluctuation.

03 — TRENDS

The 90-day view that changes everything.

A single data point is meaningless. Two weeks gives you a hint. Ninety days gives you the truth. Kairos™ maintains rolling 30, 60, and 90-day analysis windows, computing trends, rates of change, acceleration or deceleration, and inter-domain correlations. The trend view is where the platform’s intelligence becomes most visible.

30-day: short-term fluctuation detection. 60-day: medium-term trend confirmation. 90-day: long-term trajectory analysis. All three run simultaneously and are presented in the dashboard.

Not just ‘declining’ but ‘declining at X% per week, accelerating over the last 3 weeks.’ Rate-of-change analysis distinguishes between gradual drift and rapid deterioration.

Kairos™ analyzes all domain pairs for temporal correlation. If your sleep score drops and your cognitive score follows 2 weeks later with r > 0.6, that correlation is flagged in your provider report.

STRAW+10 Classification
Late Perimenopause

Classification Criteria
Cycle variability >7 days from baseline
Amenorrhea episode >60 days
Sustained vasomotor symptom elevation
Amenorrhea >12 months (postmenopause criterion)
04 — STAGING

Reproductive stage, classified automatically.

For women, Kairos™ applies the STRAW+10 framework algorithmically. Using your cycle history, symptom patterns, and domain score trajectories, the engine classifies your current reproductive stage and assigns a confidence score. When the data supports a stage transition, Kairos detects it and alerts both you and your provider.

Menstrual cycle length, regularity, skipped cycles, symptom domain score trajectories, and duration of amenorrhea episodes. The engine requires at least 60 days of data for initial classification.

The confidence score reflects how strongly the data supports the classification. A score of 90%+ means the data clearly matches one stage. 70-89% means the data is consistent but some criteria are borderline. Below 70% means more data is needed.

When classification changes, Kairos™ flags it as a Stage Transition event. This includes the old stage, new stage, confidence, and the specific criteria that triggered the change.

05 — EVENTS

Named, specific, clinically meaningful.

Kairos Events™ are the alert system. When the engine detects a sustained, statistically significant change in your data, it generates a named event — Vasomotor Onset, Sleep Quality Decline, Symptom Burden Spike, Cycle Variability Jump, or Urogenital Worsening. Each event has a specific clinical definition, detection threshold, and recommended action.

Each event type has defined statistical criteria. Events only fire when the change is sustained beyond the noise threshold and meets clinical significance criteria.

Events appear in your provider’s report with full context — when detected, what triggered it, the underlying data trend, and suggested clinical follow-up.

All past events are maintained in your timeline, creating a clinical history of significant health transitions.

06 — SHARING

Clinical reports that respect everyone’s time.

One click generates a comprehensive provider summary. One click shares it via a secure, token-gated link that expires after 7 days. Your provider doesn’t need an account, an app, or a login. They click the link, see the report, and have everything they need for your appointment.

Stage classification (women), domain scores with 30/60/90 day trends, active Kairos Events™ with context, correlation analysis, auto-generated clinical notes, cycle history (women), and suggested labs/follow-up based on the data pattern.

Reports are accessible via unique, cryptographically generated tokens. Links expire after 7 days. Access is logged. Reports contain no data beyond the selected reporting period. PDF export is available for permanent medical records.

Kairos™ auto-generates clinical notes in provider-friendly language. These aren’t generic summaries — they reference specific score changes, dates, correlations, and suggested next steps based on the data pattern.
